The Cambridgeshire Guided Busway (CGB) provides a unique opportunity for significant 'green travel' to Huntingdon and Cambridge with key stops at the science park and Addenbrooke's Hospital.
Residents will be well connected via a clear network of streets and spaces that prioritise walking, cycling and public transport. High tech communication networks will facilitate new forms of social and economic interaction.
The town centre and two local centres will be carefully located at key nodal points to create vibrancy and facilitate travel by foot, cycle or bus.
On 18 July 2012, Government announced that an A14 improvement scheme was being added into the national roads programme. Initial design work for the main A14 improvements between Huntingdon and Cambridge is likely to start in 2013. The aim is to begin construction on the main scheme in 2018 and complete it by 2021.
